Saturday nights summer

Sixty degrees never felt warmer after a generally miserable start to spring. Its April 22 and barely warm enough to sit outside without a pull over but that’s ok. Saturday night we made pastrami in the smoker and yes it took a full week of brining and rubbing before it was ready to smoke, and yes it took 8 plus hours in the smoker but it turned out delicious.  Throw in some homemade potato pancakes with rye bread and beer and it was a great dinner with our friends Bill and Paula. Another successful Saturday night eating, having a cocktail, and listening to mixed bag on wfuv. See you next week in Austin Tx at Annabelle Chairlegs first appearance at Levitation. Should be fun.
